Set up, hire and operate across Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
ANAA Associates helps companies of 10 to 50 people choose the right market, get legally able to trade and employ in it, and build the management capability to run what they have started. We are based in Colorado and deliver through a vetted network of local firms.
The wall most companies hit
A thirty-person company that wants to sell into Saudi Arabia, hire a developer in Poland, or put someone permanently in Nairobi runs into the same problem every time. The work needs an entity, or a local lawyer, or simply somebody who can turn up to a meeting in person. None of it justifies a permanent hire until the market has proved itself, and most of it cannot wait until it does.
That gap is where we work. We help you pick the market, get you legally able to trade and employ there, and stay involved while things settle. Once the market runs properly, you bring it in house. That is the intended ending, not the relationship falling apart.
What we do
Three connected service lines. Most clients start with one and add the others as the market develops.
The order usually matters more than the range. We will tell you which of these you need now and which can wait, because buying all three at once is rarely the right call for a company of this size.
Market entry and local representation
Deciding where to go, and having someone credible on the ground once you are there.
We start with the decision itself. Which country, on what evidence, and what it costs before it earns anything. If the answer is to proceed, we run the setup through law and tax firms in that market and stay accountable for the result. We can then act as your named presence locally, taking meetings, dealing with authorities, and finding the first customers and distributors.
Employment, mobility and talent
Getting a person legally into a country, and keeping them there properly.
Compliant employment in over a hundred countries through established Employer of Record providers, which means hiring in weeks rather than months without opening an entity. Alongside it we recruit the roles that decide whether a market works, handle relocation and work permits with licensed counsel, and run the employment admin that nobody at a forty-person company has time for.
Leadership and team capability
Making sure the team you now have across three time zones can actually run.
Companies that expand quickly tend to discover their managers were never trained to manage, and are now doing it across borders. Our programmes are short, practical and built for people with day jobs: first time managers, running distributed teams, commercial capability for unfamiliar markets, and the hiring and performance basics for leaders with no HR function behind them.
Who we work with
Companies of roughly 10 to 50 people, usually run by a founder or managing director who is already doing three other jobs.
Trade and physical goods
General trading companies, raw material and commodity suppliers, equipment and industrial manufacturers, freight and logistics firms. These businesses usually need a local presence before they need an entity: someone to meet suppliers, inspect goods, chase authorities and sit in the room.
Technology and digital services
IT development shops, digital marketing agencies, software and technical service providers, and e-commerce sellers on Amazon, Shopify and the regional marketplaces. Their problem is rarely the market. It is hiring in Romania or Dubai without creating a tax liability, and registering properly in every country they sell into.
Professional practices
Accounting firms, law firms, engineering and technical consultancies and other B2B service businesses opening in a second or third country. Regulated, reputation sensitive, and generally expanding by putting one trusted person in a new city and hoping it holds. We make that first placement survivable.
How we work
We tell you what you do not need
Sequence beats scope. If the honest answer is that you should wait two quarters, or that a distributor beats an entity, you will hear it before you spend anything.
Everything ties back to money or time
Revenue, cost, risk or speed. We do not produce strategy documents that stop at the recommendation and leave the delivery to you.
Local specialists, one relationship
Legal, tax, immigration and payroll work is executed by licensed firms in each market. We select them, brief them, manage them and answer for the outcome, so you are not running nine relationships across five time zones.
Built for the size you actually are
Advice designed for a company of fifty people, not a scaled down version of something written for a multinational.
Tell us what you are trying to do, and we will tell you whether we can help.
Send a short note about the market and the decision in front of you. We read everything ourselves and reply within one working day. If you would rather have a structured conversation with a written summary afterwards, book an Expansion Readiness Call.
